Are You Listening

“My body is my compass, my breath is my guide, and my soul whispers the truth I’ve always known.”– Unknown

When You Were Young… Did You Know?

Many of us were not taught the significance of the energy within our bodies and the powerful impact it has on our happiness, freedom, and love. The discussion of how science and spirituality interrelate has certainly been one of my greatest curiosities and teachings.

This change in mindset reminds me of turning on a light switch to illuminate a room or start an appliance. The energy—the spark—was always there. Can you embrace the idea that this is like tuning in, tapping in, and turning on your connection with body, mind, and soul?

Can you allow yourself to trust your inner wisdom? Do you listen?

Most of us grew up being told to trust the “experts” in their respective fields—medicine, religion, education, technology, business—and the list goes on. Life as we knew it has certainly changed! Do you remember when you were a curious child innocently asking “why”? Many of us were raised in an era where we were taught not to question, challenge, or step outside the expectations set by others.

Yet our soul has always yearned for more.

The good news? We are now more conscious and fully responsible for our choices. Technology has given us the opportunity to become better informed about our own health and wellness. Feeling like a victim and having no options are old paradigms. The old belief—“that’s just who I am”—begins to shatter as we realize our bodies do not stay the same. So what makes us believe we are the same person? This is a perfect example of how we often let the mind lead us, instead of leading our lives with our heart and soul.

Have you forgiven yourself or others for things in the past that no longer serve you? Research shows that our health and well-being are shaped not only by our physical functioning but also by our thoughts and old beliefs, which impact our livelihood, sense of peace, and joy.

What practices do you engage in to support your aliveness, your spark, your wisdom?

Listen to your body, mind, and soul. You are not alone. Are you finally ready to step off the hamster wheel—the distractions you have created—to honor yourself?

When you feel pain in the body, breathe into that area and ask, “What do you want me to know?” Begin again, creating a new relationship with yourself. As you listen to your wise, soulful self, you will feel more authentic, honest, and free. The truth emerges with heartfelt intentions for a healthier life, deeper love, and more fulfilling connections—releasing doubt and worry.

Are you willing? What would it feel like to courageously shift your mindset into a new way of being? To no longer be stuck in the past, with old beliefs and stories from others that kept you caring for them more than for yourself? Are you listening more to your body? Are you nurturing your soul for greater peace and embodiment?

Pay attention to where your mind is going. Where your attention goes, your energy flows. What we think about, we bring about. It’s all about energy—and you get to choose how to use it.

Are you listening?

What steps will you take to honor your body, mind, and soul?
