Being the Leader of Love

“The moment you trust yourself, you will know how to live.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

If Not NOW… WHEN?

How many times have you spent your time and energy wondering whether or not you should say something? Waited for someone else to decide? Resisted what was being said?

When will you focus on what’s best for you? The time is NOW.

The truth is—and this has become my mantra—we truly are the leaders in our own lives. We are LOVE, and we are responsible for our feelings, thoughts, and choices. This means we must be willing to let go of wishing something, or someone, would be different or love us more.

It starts when we focus within and are true to ourselves. Be willing to BE STILL and LISTEN. Yes, this message is speaking to your heart and soul. It’s time to come back home to yourself—the creator of your own life. Everyone has different words to describe this faith alignment. You may say God, Source, Divine, Nature, Spirit, Angels—to name a few.

In the past, we may have responded in love to please, seek approval, or to help. Yet as we evolve beyond what we learned, there is a new part of us that awakens beyond the analytical mind—to embrace deep love and the soulful self.

Allow the greatness of your inner loving leader-self to shine. Be a beacon for others as you illuminate your own light, integrating the truth of your Divine life’s purpose. You are not defined by age, income, status, or situation. Your heart and soul hold only love—not the story you’ve been telling yourself up until now. Take loving action.

Every day offers an opportunity to begin again. Are you willing? Step up and shine your inner being of LOVE.

As children, many of us learned to dim our light—to not be seen, to not be noisy, inquisitive, or to use our voices. We were more of our authentic, intuitive, curious, joyful, vulnerable, loving selves as children… than we are today as adults. The great news? It’s not too late to stop the merry-go-round. Are you trusting and loving yourself first? Be yourself to love and heal.

Until now, we believed we needed to stay busy, productive, fit in, find purpose, and do what we thought others expected of us at work, home, and in our communities. But now is the time to listen to the loving whispers within. It may require the courageous “no” you’ve been debating with yourself for far too long. Being a Leader of Love starts with you.

What does that look and feel like for you?

Feel and know that the love you are is your life’s purpose. Don’t be afraid to take the lead and step up in your own life. Be the beacon of light. After all, you take yourself everywhere you go.

Action Steps for the Loving Leader Within:

• Find a quiet place—your garden, a favorite trail, or somewhere that sings to your heart and soul. Still your mind. Envision yourself stepping into an elevator from your mind into your heart. Breathe slowly and effortlessly. Ask: What is the most loving thing I can do for myself today?

• Let go of old hurts, grievances, blame, shame, and misunderstandings that you still hold in your energy field—whether about the departed or the living. Say the Hawaiian prayer of forgiveness, Ho’oponopono:
“I am sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.”
When used with intention and love, it can shift the energy of what has been held in the body.

• Honor your commitments to yourself. Schedule time for healthy actions—going for a walk, making a nourishing meal, taking a break from your phone. Listen to the whispers of your loving inner guidance. Smile more. Do something silly or unpredictable. Laugh at how seriously you’ve been taking yourself.

• Notice what you are noticing. What are your thoughts telling you? Are you focusing on your loving self—or on others as a distraction? What if it could be both? Shine your inner light with love. Trust and listen to your heart and soul. What is true for you?
