Creating Something Different

“It’s better to live your own destiny imperfectly than live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection.”

-The Bhagavat Gita

What comes to your mind when you think about creating something new or different in your life?

We are not talking about your automatic response of, “I don’t have enough money or time,” “I’m too busy; I’m overwhelmed to even think about anything more. Let me just get through this ordeal or the holidays!” You must be the change that you want.

What if I were to suggest to you that this is the perfect time of year?

In fact, some of you may be noticing some resistance to this thought. As we evolve, we experience things happening for us. We are presented with opportunities to respond to life’s circumstances. We can change our response to any given situation and create or do something different. Are you willing to take that risk? Do something now.

How can all this be happening for you?

You can worry less, buy less, and give more from your heart… less analyzing, planning …more kindness, compassion, acceptance, and joy! Allow yourself to stop long enough to take a breath, reflect, connect with your faith, let go of all the “shoulds,” and open yourself to feeling freedom and forgiveness. These attributes don’t require dollars. They open your heart and soul to possibility and a greater love.

Take advantage of the holidays that are upon us. What might you do differently?

Some of my friends and family are asking themselves this very question. Take a minute, get quiet, take a conscious breath, and ask yourself, what is my heart saying? DO I really need to keep this tradition that has lost its intention and focus? Am I being authentic and honest in my responses?

I often say to clients, if you respond from a heartfelt place, others will hear that message with greater understanding and compassion. Versus you having a rehearsed response or speaking from a place of control, fear, or even people-pleasing and being too nice underneath your message. Your subconscious mind can hear the ambiguity. If you drop into your heart and speak from that place of truth with love and compassion, even the most difficult situations will be heard with a greater understanding.

What is the most important gift… a deeper knowing of LOVE.

What calls to your heart? DO you allow yourself to have a dream or goal that may seem not reachable? Do you slow down long enough to listen to that small voice within?

Are you willing to change a habit that is no longer serving you? Decide to make a choice today to do one thing different. Commit to this new identified behavior daily for three to four weeks until it becomes a new habit. You will be amazed at how much freer, confident, and at ease you are! I would love to hear what difference you created in your life!

Wishing you a healthy and joyous season!
