Everyday Miracles

“We’re all here to live a fabulous life…a life of love, truth and joy. We have the power to wake up to that. We have the power to say, I’m not just here to survive, I’m here to live my most miraculous life.”
– Marci Shimoff

When I feel overwhelmed and stressed, I remind myself that I always have a choice. I can stay stuck in my thoughts and circumstances, unconsciously repeating patterns of behavior that no longer serve my highest good. Or, I can consciously choose a more miraculous life.

Are you willing and open to looking for the everyday miracles in your life?

Marci Shimoff, one of my mentors, teaches, supports, and inspires thousands of individuals to embody practices for living a fabulous life. She says, “You’re always just one choice away from a completely different life. We hope you choose miracles. While you can’t create miracles, you CAN create the conditions for miracles to flow in your life. Living in that flow is what she calls ‘Living in the Miracle Zone.’”

When YOU hear the word “miracle,” what comes to mind?

The World English Dictionary defines it as:

  1. An event that is contrary to the established laws of nature and attributed to a supernatural cause.
  2. An amazing or wonderful event.
  3. A person or thing that is a marvelous example of something (e.g., “The bridge was a miracle of engineering.”).
  4. Something being or seeming like a miracle (e.g., “A miracle cure,” “A miracle baby.”).

I highlighted an amazing or wonderful event because it gives me the awareness and desire to focus on being grateful for everyday situations—the ability to breathe, walk, and talk without having to think about it; the sun rising and setting without us needing to do anything; a friend calling just as you were thinking about them; a meeting getting canceled, giving you unexpected free time; finding extra money in your pocket; or hitting all green lights when you’re running late. I call these everyday miracles! Some people may call them coincidences, a stroke of luck, or good fortune.

Thoughts are things. When we focus on what we do want, rather than what we don’t want, we align more with our heartfelt intentions and desires, which hold a vibration of greater love and acceptance. As we practice putting our attention on what we are grateful for and appreciate, we activate more abundance.

The good news is… we are all primed for a miraculous life. And at any moment, we can choose our next step. We can choose to continue down the path we’re on, or we can open our body, mind, and soul to greater love and opportunities. By trusting that we are divinely guided by a higher Source greater than ourselves, we attract more positive experiences, loving people, and opportunities to grow and evolve.

Leaning into my faith and taking moments to listen to my inner knowing gives me greater peace of mind—that all is well, even when my outer world appears otherwise. And that can be a challenge to embrace!

What if you chose to walk the path open to noticing greater abundance and everyday miracles? Are you open to expanding or shifting your perspective?

These questions are directed to your mind—the part of you that has been running on autopilot. Are you willing to shift your perspective? To forgive yourself and others? These are some of the foundational tools for personal freedom and joy, which in turn activate miracles!

Tidbits for Today:

  • Miracles happen every day. Change your perception of what a miracle is, and you’ll see them all around you.
  • “Every moment in our lives is a miracle we can enjoy instead of ignoring.”
  • “Miracles happen to those who are open to trusting that they are for you.”
  • “Life itself is the miracle of miracles.”
  • “If you are openhearted in a healthy way every day, more miracles happen in your life.”
  • “The greatest miracle is that some of our prayers are answered exactly as we wish them to be.”

Tell me about your everyday miracles!
