Power of Nine

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
– Leo Tolstoy

Many of us set intentions for a desired outcome at the start of the year. Have you set yours? It’s not too late! Are you ready to heal? To let go of past hurts and sadness? Are you open to greater love, prosperity, freedom, and happiness?

What baby steps can you take now so that a year from today, your life looks and feels different from the inside out?

Here are two fun facts about the year 2025:

1. The Numerology of 2025
According to numerology, when the individual digits of this year (2+0+2+5) are added together, they total 9. The number 9 is considered powerful and highly vibrational, representing endings, completions, growth, and transformation.

Those with a Life Path number of 9 tend to be compassionate, generous, service-oriented, empathetic, wise, spiritual, and intuitive. They are often emotional, overly idealistic, and prone to putting the needs of others before their own. What drives them is a deep desire to make a positive impact, serve humanity, and promote universal love.

2. The Energy of the Chinese Zodiac
In the Chinese zodiac, each year is associated with an animal. The year 2025 marks the beginning of the Year of the Snake, which will continue until 2037. The Snake is a symbol of transformation and change—shedding old skin to move forward with greater clarity and strength.

As we navigate this year, it’s important to honor the lessons we’ve learned while releasing what no longer serves us. Change is a constant force, and while many things may not make sense, we each have the power to choose how we respond.

Marianne Williamson reminds us that love and fear are the two core emotions that shape how we see the world. She says, “Love is our essential reality and purpose on Earth, while fear is something we learn.”

Research shows that emotions like anger, fear, and anxiety impact our physical and mental well-being. Imagine how you will feel once you take the first step toward your desired changes. As you begin, be patient with yourself—let go of self-judgment and doubt. These old patterns can be tough to break, but remember:

You are the difference!

You have the power to begin again, to choose again, and to love yourself more deeply.

Focus on what you do want. How will it feel when you align with your intentions this year? Are you listening to your intuition?

Notice when you say “yes.” Does it feel peaceful inside? If so, everyone wins. But if saying “yes” is actually a masked “no” to avoid conflict or spare someone’s feelings, it can leave you feeling inauthentic and unsettled.

Start small. For example:
“Thank you for asking, but I’m not interested in going tonight.”
“I appreciate you thinking of me—maybe another time.”

Pay attention to your thoughts. Are you telling yourself a story just to avoid dealing with something? These small habits take a toll on your mind, body, and spirit.

What if you changed the way you respond? You might feel more confident, free, and compassionate toward yourself and others.

The Power of Nine represents a year of transformation, inviting us to embody new ways of being.

I encourage you to be more mindful of your daily choices. Pause. Take a breath. You are worthy of slowing down and making space for yourself. Running on autopilot is an old survival mechanism—it’s time to step into something new.

Lean into the place within your heart and soul where you find guidance—whether that’s your spiritual self, higher self, God, the Divine, nature, or any energy that brings you peace and tranquility.

I’m excited to be on this journey with you as we shed the old skin of the Snake and step into new beginnings, fresh opportunities, freedom, and greater love.
