Taking a Leap of Faith

“Letting go isn’t about having the courage to release the past; it’s about the wisdom to embrace the present.”

-Steve Maraboli

Maraboli’s quote makes me smile. It always gives me room for pause, a chance to shift my perspective of looking at how I have been living my life. I hope you will take these moments to think about how this may be playing out in your own life.

How long have we been “trying” to let go of people, places, or things that no longer serve our highest good?

How often have you held on to making decisions because you were afraid of all the implications?

Do you notice that out of habit, you lean more into acting and thinking about others before you listen to your own heart? Are you lovingly speaking your truth? What would you love?

Are you being authentic and honest with others about what is important? Are you wanting an adventure and uncertain as to “how” it will manifest?

For the past few years, I have had the honor of being an accelerator coach for individuals participating in the Your Year of Miracles Program. The program frames Five Foundations for Living in the Miracle Zone as a beautiful guide to anchor myself into my truth and to support myself in taking a leap of faith. They are: “Trust in the Universe, Live from our soul, Lead with an open heart, choose where you put your energy and attention, and Take responsibility for your life.”

As I integrate these tools as a way of living life, I notice a fresh perspective, more patience with others, confidence, love, energy, and passion about my life’s purpose.

Taking a “leap of faith” requires embracing your faith, the power of your Divine Source within you that gives you the inner voice to say…

What if I could? Why not? Let’s go for it!

For me, I had to learn to listen to the small voice, my intuition. Up until now, my mind was the major player in my way of being in the world. It was like having a lifelong software program installed into your personal mind computer.

What if you un-install the old program, the old stories and live today, not yesterday? Life is unpredictable, full of joys, celebrations, disappointments, sadness and yet all surrounded with love.

Taking a leap of faith often involves stepping into the unknown or taking a risk without knowing the outcome. It can be a significant decision that requires courage and trust in yourself or in a particular situation. People take leaps of faith in various aspects of life, such as career changes, relationships, or personal growth.

Here are a few thoughts on taking a leap of faith:

  • Courage: Taking a leap of faith requires courage to face uncertainties and potential challenges. It’s about embracing the unknown and being willing to step out of your comfort zone.
  • Trust: Trust in yourself and your abilities. Trust can also extend to others or the circumstances you’re facing. Having faith that things will work out, even if the path is unclear, is crucial.
  • Learning and Growth: Leaps of faith often come with valuable lessons, regardless of the outcome. Whether you succeed or face challenges, there is an opportunity for personal and/or professional growth.
  • Resilience: Not every leap of faith will result in immediate success. It’s important to be resilient and adaptable, learning from setbacks and using them as steppingstones toward your goals.
  • Preparation: While taking risks is part of a leap of faith, some level of preparation can still be beneficial. This might involve gathering information, developing relevant skills, or creating a plan to mitigate potential risks.
  • Positive Mindset: Maintaining a positive mindset can make a significant difference. Focus on the possibilities and what you can learn from the experience, even if things don’t go as planned.

Remember, taking a leap of faith doesn’t necessarily mean making impulsive decisions. It’s about making a conscious choice to pursue something meaningful, even if it involves uncertainty. Ultimately, the experiences can lead to growth, opening new opportunities and perspectives.

Now… I will share with you my leap of faith. I am preparing my house to sell after almost thirty-eight years and raising my family. Here’s to a new adventure!

Are you thinking about what to do during the winter months? Have you signed up for things and lost interest? Consider starting your own small Women’s Circle with your friends on Zoom! We will design a structure that works for you and map out duration and time. For more information contact me.
