What happens if you stop long enough in your busy day to consciously take a deep breath and be grateful for your life?
Are YOU willing to take that action step right now? Yes, that means now…even a smidge! If you accepted the request, what did you notice? What thoughts just popped into your mind? Did you feel a sense of freedom provided by the breath?
Research shows us when people take the time to be grateful they are happier, more satisfied, less anxious, and more trusting that everything will work out.
Take on an “Attitude of Gratitude.”
It aligns to having choice and the freedom to choose the next conscious thought!
You may notice you feel more expansive and freer. Give thanks to everything that happens in your life! Yourself, loved ones, your job, your health, finances and the freedom to choose your thoughts which are generated in your mind.
Yes, although it may feel counterintuitive, this practice is particularly helpful on those days when you look at your circumstances and perspectives that are presenting themselves with a heavy heart, sadness, anxiety or disappointments which may have you feeling separate from others, alone and wishing things were different.
This time of year offers us more opportunities to focus our energy and attention on gratitude and reflection. A time to be grateful for all our blessings; family, friends, pets, country, and planet.
What if you could release the old perspectives that are not serving you?
Are you ready to release the “old story” of all the woes that no longer serves you or anyone else? We know life is too short.
Certainly, I am not sure for you, but for me, the past few years have offered an opportunity to think and feel differently about things. A time to forgive, surrender, let go of the things I have no control over and trust that there is a higher good.
There is freedom in gratitude.
Be grateful and appreciate ourselves for learning not just to survive, to actually thrive. I challenge you to look for the good, be willing to open your hearts with more gratitude for life.
Here are some “Strategies: Manifesting with Gratitude,” from my book, The Art of Being Nice, for you during this Holiday Season:
- Acknowledge people that you come into contact by greeting with a smile or send loving thoughts with your eyes.
- Pay yourself first, no matter what the amount.
- Throughout your day say “THANK YOU” to life and all circumstances.
- Sit or lay quietly before you get up or go to sleep. Spend a few moments setting your intention for the day, or reflecting on the day in gratitude.
- Maintain a regular practice of keeping a gratitude journal or notebook.
- Be loving and kind to yourself
- Forgive yourself with love and gratitude.
Wishing you blessings, health, and love.
